Stand in the area in "The House of Chthonic" where the first Rune was located. Pause game play, highlight the "Customize Controls" option, and quickly press R, Z, L, X, Y, L, R, Y, L, R. A confirmation message will appear behind the option menu selections.

Easy Difficulty after Game Starts

Jevon's Control Mode

During play, pause the game and enter the options menu. Highlight "Customize Control" and press R, R, L, R, X, Y, Z, X, Y, Z in one swift motion until you see a faint message appear behind the text from the option menu. Jevon's Controls should now be activated.

Note: This control mode requires an analog controller.

Monster Control Mode

During play, pause the game and enter the Options menu. Highlight "Auto Targetting" and press R, R, L, R, X, Y, Z, X, Y, Z in one swift motion until you see a faint message appear behind the text from the option menu. Your weapons will become more powerful, but only one type of weapon will 'upgraded' on each stage.

Nightmare Mode

To play in Nightmare mode, choose the fourth episode and fall into the pool of water near the entrance. While you are sinking, strafe left until you reach land, then walk toward the doorway. There you will find a secret slipgate that leads to Nightmare mode.

Normal Mode

If you set the difficulty too high, pause the game, enter the "Options" menu, and Highlight the "Music Volume" slider and press R, R, L, R, X, Y, Z, X, Y, Z You should see the words "Normal game mode activated" behind the options.

Paul Mode (Invincibility)

Pause game play, highlight the "Customize Controls" option, and quickly press R, L, X, Y, Z, R, L, X, Y, Z. A confirmation message will appear behind the option menu selections.

Secret Levels

Episode1, Level 4: The Grisly Grotto

From the pier with the silver key: Jump off and swim in the direction of the pier. Surface on the other side. Go through the silver key door and to the left. Follow the passage. You should reach a small body of blue slime with a bridge over it. Go to the end of the bridge and ride the platform up. Step on all the touchplates. Two doors wil open in the walls. Enter both and press the buttons. The game should tell you that a secret cave has opened. Jump onto the bridge and head back out to the deep pool where you got the silver key. Along the right wall of the cave will be a large, bright circular opening. Enter it. Swim up. Inside a little room is a grenade launcher, health, and a slipgate to the secret level.

Episode 2, Level 3: The Crypt of Decay

If you go through the passage to the Nightmare difficulty setting, and shoot the square on the wall, you will see the words "the well of wishes awaits you in the Crypt of Decay" or somethign similar, this is that secret. But the well of wishes is not the entire secret, in order to get to the actual secret level, make sure you enter the slipgate inside the well of wishes.

The Well of Wishes - After running through the hallway with spikes and across the bridge turn around and look to the right. There is a poorly lit ledge with a Quad damage. Jump to the ledge (easier if you jump more towards the right from the exit of the spike area. If you look really close, there is a tiny ledge you can follow. Follow it around until you see a little area that you can jump up into. There it a water pit you can jump into. Presto! You're into the well of wishes and DopeFish is there waiting for you.

Episode 3, Level 4: Satan's Dark Delight

After going down the long stairway at the end of which is the Lightning gun, turn around and look behind the stairs. There are two ledges over looking a hole that will take you to the secret level.

Episode 4, Level 5: Hell's Atrium

At the end of the level, you need the silver key to lower a bridge to get across to the exit. DON'T activate the bridge. Instead, hop across on the sticks sticking out of the lava. It ain't easy. Once you're safely across turn to your left and you'll see a gigantic door that you need the silver key to open. It takes you to the Secret Level.

Zero-G Mode

While playing, pause the game, enter the OPTIONS menu, then highlight Lookspring and press R, R, L, R, X, Y, Z, X, Y, Z. The words "Zero-G Mode Activated" should appear behind the options!
